         Sheaths can be ordered for any knife or axe listed for sale on this website.  Cutomer please NOTICE ,  we do not stock finished sheaths ; meaning  when you choose a sheath to be made please allow  1-2 weeks for completion before your knife or axe (with sheath) can be mailed, as the the knife or axe must be present for fitting.     All of our leather goods shown here have been made from  5/6 oz.  American oak tanned cow hide which comes from a tannnery that has been in business here in the USA for over 100 years.  We use only hand tools and pure beeswaxed linen thread to perform all the work.   Leather dyes  and waxes are also historically correct recipes dating from the 18th century. Sheath designs have been based on 18th century styling.    Please Specify  what knife or axe you have purchased when ordering your sheath to be matched.
A simple 18th century styled black side seam sheath shown with a previous sold pistol grip knife.   This type can be used with any knife style except a Rifleman's knife. Loop on back will fit up to a 2" wide belt.   This sheath is designed for LEFT HAND USE.     Black leather was a bit more common than brown in the 18th century.  We use the same recipe for black leather dye as was used 250 + years ago.  The basic ingredients being,  iron filings and vinegar.     $45.00

Simple 18th century styled side seam sheath in Brown leather for  RIGHT HAND USE  The brown leather dye that we use has been made of walnut hulls to produce this shade.Can be used with any knife type but a Rifleman's style.  Please note:  brown color will vary from one sheath to the next a bit. Loop will fit up to a 2" wide belt.   $55.00

Axe Sheaths and Frogs for Sale
This  is our simple axe sheath.  Made of brown dyed leather.  Carries a hand made copper latch and small amount of decorative tooling.  This one is designed for carry on your LEFT SIDE.   $35.00

This frog (as they were called during the 18th century)  has been closely based on an orginal dating from the 1750's.  Its been made of our brown leather and carries some simple tooling.  Will fit a belt up to 1 7/8" wide. A great way to securely carry your axe!  Can be worn on both the left or right side.
